In a touching turn of events, it is revealed that Princess Catherine is trying to maintain a brave front in front of her family amid personal challenges.

Her young children are largely unaware of their mother’s problems, a choice made to protect their innocence and overall well-being. Catherine is making considerable efforts to hide her discomfort, but this task is becoming increasingly difficult. It is clear that life for the Welsh family is very different from that of ordinary families, constantly juggling royal duties and being under public scrutiny. However, William and Catherine try to provide a semblance of normalcy for their children within the confines of their own home.

The family at Kensington Palace is supported by a team of skilled staff responsible for a variety of tasks, from managing day-to-day activities to providing personal support. This team includes chefs, housekeepers, nannies and personal assistants, each of whom provide essential support for the day-to-day functions of the palace. The family are believed to be enjoying their summer holidays in Mallorca, and it is likely that Catherine has established certain rules to help manage her three children. However, it is not just entertainment that George, Charlotte and Louis have to deal with, as their parents enforce specific household rules at their Anmer Hall residence during the winter.

Rather than traditional disciplinary measures such as sending them to their rooms or using a “naughty walk”, the royal couple use a unique approach known as “sofa chat”. When dining out on special occasions, Princess Charlotte and her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis often sit at the children’s table rather than with their parents at formal meals, even at Christmas gatherings. As they entered their teens, this seating arrangement continued, something many parents of active children can relate to.

Single parents often pick their children up from school and greet them when they return, with the aim of creating a relaxed and enjoyable family life. The modern parenting style adopted by William and Catherine may have contributed significantly to this atmosphere. They made sure that Prince George would not feel obligated to follow in Prince William’s footsteps, and encouraged Prince Louis to pursue his dream of becoming a ball boy at Wimbledon. Darren McGrady, a former royal chef who served the Queen and Princess Diana, noted that it was the nanny’s responsibility to fine-tune the young princes’ interests.

Princess Diana wanted to educate her children by involving them in charitable activities, allowing them to see the realities faced by those less fortunate. She made it a point to teach William and Harry the importance of expressing gratitude through thank you cards. Likewise, Catherine passed on this practice to her children, who were expected to write cards whenever they received gifts. Like Diana, Catherine involved her children in her charity work.
