Royal Family Exposed! William and Catherine Prepare George, Charlotte and Louis for Emotional Changes. Hey guys, welcome back to our channel. Today, we're going to explore a fascinating Royal story that's sure to captivate fans around the world. If you love the British monarchy and want to learn more about the royal family, today's exciting news is in store for you. We're going to explore an unexpected twist on the Duke and Duchess of Wales' special relationship with Kensington Palace, which is about to get a big makeover.
Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace has been the Welsh family's home since 2013. While the couple moved to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor in August 2022 to be closer to their children's school, the 20-room apartment remains their London base. Now, a major change is being planned for the area, which is sure to have special significance for the family.
It has been reported that a major revamp is set to take place at the Princess Diana Memorial Playground, which was set up in memory of William's mother. The Duchess often takes her children to the playground, and was spotted there with her young son, Prince George, in 2014. An insider said that the pair spent around 15 minutes there and it was lovely to see them playing together.
Since opening in 2000, the playground has welcomed more than 1 million children. However, after 25 years of operation, many of the facilities are in need of an upgrade. Plans for the improvements include a wheelchair-friendly boat, a new multi-storey treehouse and an improved mermaid pool. The renovation is expected to cost around £3 million and take six months to complete.
During this lockdown, from autumn 2025 to spring 2026, the couple will still use Apartment 1A whenever they are in the capital, but they will increasingly spend more time at Adelaide Cottage, which is a far cry from their luxury London apartment.
The Duke and Duchess of Wales are no ordinary couple. They have a lot of fame, but they still enjoy doing simple things, like watching TV shows when they have free time. William recently revealed that he and his wife enjoy watching "Black" on Netflix, which makes people feel closer. 2024 has not been easy for either of them, especially when Catherine was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery in January last year. The Duchess spent most of the year resting, while William took on many royal responsibilities.
Catherine is finally cancer-free, and the family took part in the King's Birthday Parade together in June. While Catherine has focused on her health, William has struggled to balance raising his family with his royal duties. Now that they have more opportunities to appear in public together, it's great to see Catherine back.
