Princess Catherine's surprising reaction to a heartbreaking five-word criticism of her new role in William's rising power

Last week, Princess Catherine made an unannounced visit to town with her husband. Despite her immense popularity, she has been mistaken for a member of Prince William's staff.

The mix-up happened a few years ago at a care home in Cardiff. When introduced to resident Joan Drew Smith, Joan asked William if Catherine was his assistant. Catherine jokingly replied, "Yes, I am, I have been for a long time." The Welsh couple are currently on a break from royal duties as Catherine undergoes chemotherapy. When they return, photographers will be following them closely, cementing their status as one of the most recognised couples in the world.

They have three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who were raised away from Buckingham Palace. Behind the scenes, they act like normal children. Catherine and William ensure their children are happy and well-adjusted, with George and Charlotte being particularly close and well-behaved, while Louis is often in trouble. George believes that Louis can be more mischievous than he is. Catherine, who grew up outside the royal fold, wants her children to grow up without the spotlight.

She believes people will be surprised by the normal life at home, where the children help with tasks such as setting the table and cleaning. There is no special treatment, even with their busy schedules, as they have to pick their children up from school. Known for her elegant style, Catherine wore gold fern earrings during a recent emotional visit to Southport. The earrings symbolise perseverance, resilience and a fresh start, perfect for the day's event.

Notably, Catherine did not wear her diamond engagement ring, which previously belonged to Princess Diana. It is a staple of her appearances. She has been seen without it more often lately, fueling speculation as to why. Instead, she wears a colorful eternity ring, which could represent her children, as the stones on the ring match their birthstones of rubies, emeralds, and diamonds.

Along with the eternity ring, Catherine also wears a Welsh gold wedding band, a white gold and diamond wedding band, and another diamond ring. These thoughtful jewelry choices could represent personal milestones or connections to her family during this time.
